Kuami Eugene, Ghanaian Afrobeats and highlife musician, is driven to set an example in the face of copyright difficulties with colleague singer Mr Drew.
This disagreement arose after Kuami Eugene claimed to have composed 80% of Mr Drew’s smash song, ‘Case.’
According to Kuami Eugene, the relationship began with negotiations between their respective management teams.
Mr Drew, on the other hand, released the music without his knowledge, causing Kuami Eugene to take action. He is now insisting on collecting 50% of the song’s royalties since he believes he is entitled to it.
“The software saved all of the song’s details, and it was 2020.” I did Highlife and Afrobeat, but now he’s added Amapiano accents. “I don’t blame him in any way, but you can’t ship something to Ghana with someone and say we’re selling on Sunday, only for you to sell on Saturday without communicating,” he explained to host Jerry Justice.
