Ghanaian player Daniel Amartey, currently playing for Besiktas, has made a surprising move by deleting all Black Stars-related content from his verified official Instagram account.
Despite being fit to play, Amartey has not featured for the Ghana national team in the ongoing AFCON 2023 in Ivory Coast.
The Besiktas defender, who is also an assistant deputy captain for the Black Stars, has struggled to secure a spot in the starting lineup during the AFCON.
Amartey, aged 29, has experienced injuries in the past, but the reason for his absence is currently unknown.
Although he has captained the Black Stars in the World Cup Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, his removal of all Black Stars-related content from his Instagram has sparked speculation.
Amartey has not provided an explanation for this move as of now.
