Harry Maguire was almost reduced to tears after he was crowned the winner of the Man of the Match award following Manchester United’s victory over Sheffield United.
The Red Devils silenced the Blades 2-1 at Bramall Lane on Saturday, October 21, to continue with their resurgence after a disappointing start to the new season.
According to Metro UK, Scott McTominay opened the scoring for United in the 28th minute before Oli McBurnie levelled it up from the penalty spot.
Diogo Dalot went on to score the winner in the 77th minute as Erik ten Hag’s charges stormed to vital win away from home.
However, it was Maguire who was eventually named the man of the match after an outstanding performance at the heart of United’s defence.

The England international was almost overcome with emotions during his wholesome post-match interview shortly after getting the honour.
