Yesterday, the sudden demise of John Kumah, the Deputy Minister for Finance and Member of Parliament for Ejisu, reverberated across Ghana’s political sphere. Reports from Kumah’s aide indicated that he passed away at Suhum Clinic while en route to Accra for medical assistance in Germany.

Amidst the grief, Mr. Oheneba, an associate of Chairman Wontumi, alleged that Kumah was poisoned along with his boss and Andy Appiah Kubi, both prominent NPP figures.

Following his passing, a list of properties reportedly owned by Kumah emerged on social media.

But before diving into that, let’s delve into Kumah’s professional background. Admitted to the Ghana Bar in 2013, he co-founded Aduaprokye Chambers, a notable law firm in Adabraka.

He also founded Majak Associates Ltd, a thriving construction company, and served as CEO of NEIP (National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Program).

The alleged properties include a 10-acre land in his hometown, a mansion in Ejisu Donaso valued at $2 million, a 100-acre farm in the Ashanti Region, a property in East Legon, a construction company, several vehicles including 4 Toyota V8s, and filling stations across Ghana.

With a decade-long political career and diverse business ventures, Kumah’s net worth was speculated to be around $30 million at the time of his passing.
