In response to numerous comments from Ghanaians expressing enthusiasm for Afua Asantewaa Aduonum’s Sing-a-thon challenge on the Guinness World Records Instagram page, the organization finally addressed one such comment.
A Ghanaian named Abrantie Kwesi Gyamfi commented, “Hey Guinness World Records Ghana is buzzing with the Sing-a-thon challenge with Afua Asantewaa 0 Aduonum. Ghana is joining your book of records soon!”
Guinness World Records replied, stating, “Hi Abrantie Kwesi Gyamfi. We look forward to receiving evidence; this event certainly seems to have captured the public’s imagination.”
Afua Asantewaa successfully concluded her Singathon after an impressive 126 hours and 52 minutes, during which she sang 2300 Ghanaian songs over the course of five days.
