Gerald Asamoah, a Ghanaian-born footballer, has brought doctors and nurses from Germany to perform operations on 50 children with hole-in-the-heart conditions.

Gerald Asamoah used to be a professional Ghanaian footballer. The wise son of the land is now a professional coach.

The ex-Black Stars player now lives in Germany with his wife and three children. Many people applauded the initiative to bring professional German doctors to help operate on 50 children who had holes in their hearts.

Last night, the doctors arrived at Kotoka International Airport in good spirits.

They expressed their eagerness to work with Gerald Asamoah to assist these children in life-threatening situations.
