A group of male employees from a popular loan company, Quick Credit Ghana, stormed an Accra-based restaurant and engaged in a physical fight with workers before forcibly locking the place down.
A video posted on X by EDHUB shows the moment the men, after invading the restaurant in Laterbiokorshie, an Accra suburb, managed to pack up the furniture despite workers’ resistance.
The circumstances surrounding the incident are unknown, as neither Quick Credit Ghana nor the restaurant in question have commented on the incident.
The development has elicited mixed reactions online, with many Ghanaians describing the invasion and violence as lawless and urging relevant authorities to summon the loan company. Some argue that some debtors are simply stubborn, and that creditors are pushed to the breaking point, with no choice but to use force to recover their frozen funds.
