John Dumelo begins walking backwards barefoot from Legon’s main gate to Presec.
Ahead of yesterday’s National Science and Maths Quiz finale, the actor, who is a former Achimota School student, promised to walk backwards barefoot if the Presbyterian Boys School defeated his alma mater.
“I am a proud Achimotan, but if Presec wins the #NSMQ2023 on March 31st, I will walk backwards from Ayawaso West Wuogon to Presec School barefoot!” They can’t beat Motown! Presec? “Tweeeaa!!!,” he said on Sunday, October 22, 2023.
Against the Ghanaian actor’s wish, Presec won the competition after they pulled a final round surprise to overtake Kumasi-based Opoku Ware Senior High School and Achimota School to win the ultimate in 2023.
In response to the victory, John Dumelo stated that he would keep his word and walk barefoot from the Legon main gate to Presec.
“I keep my promises. Tomorrow, October 31 at 4 p.m., I will walk backwards barefoot from the UG main gate to the Presec gate. I’d like to congratulate Presec on his victory in the NSMQGrandFinale. I am extremely proud of both my Achimota School and OWASS. I intend to walk the walk. “#idey4u,” he wrote on his X page, which is formally known as Twitter.
