Afua Asantewaa, Ghana’s Tourism Ambassador and broadcaster, has gained international recognition for her sing-a-thon attempt, meeting Senegalese-American music icon Akon in Ivory Coast during the ongoing AFCON.
Despite awaiting feedback from Guinness World Records, Akon expressed amazement at Afua Asantewaa’s feat of singing for five consecutive days.
He introduced her to some of his African friends, highlighting her remarkable achievement.
Afua Asantewaa aimed to break the Guinness World Record for the longest singing marathon and successfully surpassed it by singing for 126 hours and 52 minutes.
