Afua Asantewaa Aduonum, a Ghanaian woman aspiring to set the Guinness World Record for the longest singing marathon, has appealed to the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG).

In a video from a press briefing, Afua expressed her readiness for the upcoming event and addressed potential challenges with ECG. She mentioned that preparations are well underway, with generators and UPS available in case of a power outage.

Despite these arrangements, she earnestly pleaded with ECG not to interrupt the power supply during her singing marathon, requesting them to ensure a continuous power supply from December 24th to the second week of January.

Afua Asantewaa aims to sing approximately 2,300 Ghanaian songs for over 117 hours to break the Guinness World Records’ longest singing marathon.
