The Eastern Region has been selected as the host for the 67th Independence Day National Celebration scheduled for March 6, 2024.
The announcement was made by Lord Commey, the director of operations at the Office of the President, during a visit to the Eastern Region.
The Koforidua Youth Resource Center was assessed as the venue for the national parade, and various sub-planning committees were formed to ensure the success of the celebration.
The region is encouraged to showcase itself and leverage the event for economic benefits through private sector involvement.
The official launch of the event is set for February 1, 2024.
