Ghanaian footballer Joseph Paintsil has ventured back into his music career with the release of a special Valentine’s Day song titled “Without You.”

Alongside his success on the field, where he has contributed to nine goals and five assists this season, the Genk winger is also gearing up for the premiere of the music video for his latest track on February 13.

Paintsil has been balancing both football and music pursuits in recent years, having previously featured on a song titled “Unbreakable” in 2023.

Despite his thriving football career, the 26-year-old has expressed his long-term aspiration to transition into full-time music once he concludes his professional football journey.

While focusing on his music endeavors, Paintsil also represented Ghana in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) held in the Ivory Coast. However, the tournament ended in disappointment for the Black Stars, as they were eliminated in the group stage without securing a single victory.

Paintsil, who started in two of the three matches, including fixtures against Cape Verde and Mozambique, expressed his regret and apologized to the people of Ghana via social media platform X (formerly Twitter).

He acknowledged the team’s failure to meet expectations but expressed gratitude for the unwavering support received during challenging times.

Currently, Paintsil has returned to his club Genk, where he continues to contribute to their campaign in the Belgian Pro League, with the team currently occupying the seventh position in the standings.
