A Ghanaian man who lived in poverty until he won a GHC 6 million bet has been asked by Islamic clerics to return the money since it was obtained through gambling, which is forbidden in Islam.

Fuseini, the young man, arrived with his mother, who was completely covered in a hijab, to get the dummy cheque of Ghc 6 million after winning a gambling game on Pawabet.

However, following the massive win, Islamic authorities instructed the young guy to return every bit of the money to the gaming agency. According to them, Fuseini violated Quranic regulations prohibiting believers from participating in games of chance.

The mother of Fuseini has been accused of serious wrongdoing by the Iqra foundation, a social media site. They further stated that gambling has become a canker that is consuming the zongo young.
