A 74 year old woman who lost her life savings to scammers in an attempt to get back her money, decided to rob a bank at gun point in Ohio but she couldn’t get away with it as she has been arrested by the police and was able to get away with only $500.
The woman known as Ann Mayers robbed an Ohio credit union last week April 19 and faces counts of aggravated robbery with a firearm and tampering with evidence in Friday’s robber Fairfield township, north of Cincinnati.
Ann Mayers who according to family members had been a victim of an online scam and although she had told them weeks prior to her robbery of her decision to rob, they thought it was a joke and didn’t take it seriously but the law is the law and if she’s convicted she could spend up to 15 years in prison.
She was arrested at her Hamilton home few hours after the robbery, a post on Fairfield Police’s facebook page said and a hand gun was found in her car, which she used for the robbery.
