Unfortunately for Davido, the Best African Music category was won by Tyla’s ‘Water’, while the Best Global Music Performance award went to ‘Pashto’ by Béla Fleck, Edgar Meyer & Zakir Hussain Featuring Rakesh Chaurasia. Additionally, the Best Global Album honor was claimed by Shakti’s ‘The Moment’.
