Ghanaian dancehall artist turned politician, Flexer Gh, has appealed to the Inspector General of Police (IGP), George Akuffo Dampare, for assistance in a dispute with landguards in Amasaman.
Flexer Gh is urging the IGP to intervene and bring the Amasaman Police Command under control. In a video shared on social media, the frustrated artist detailed his challenges with the Amasaman Police Command.
He explained that despite winning a court judgment against notorious land guards in the area, his attempt to serve them the judgment with a court bailiff and police officers resulted in an attack.
Even upon a second attempt with a different set of officers, they were attacked again, with some officers having their guns broken during the altercation.
Flexer Gh expressed his dissatisfaction, noting that the police officers in Amasaman seem reluctant to confront the aggressive land guards.
He disclosed that his visits to the police station to address the issue have been unproductive, with officers seemingly hesitant to take action.
In seeking the IGP’s intervention, Flexer Gh emphasized the need for a peaceful resolution, as he hinted at exploring alternative avenues for justice if the police fail to address the situation.
