The death of Akoto Ampaw, one of Ghana’s greatest legal minds, has been revealed in Accra.
Asaase Radio reported on X that the lawyer for President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in the 2020 election petition died today.
Mr. Ampaw, known as ‘Che Che’ during his days at the University of Ghana, was also a member of the New Patriotic Party’s legal team in the 2013 Electoral Petition.
He works as an associate at Akufo-Addo’s law company, Akufo-Addo, Prempeh & Co.
Lawyer Ampaw has a stellar reputation in the legal community, particularly for advocating human rights causes and fair justice.
He is a graduate of the University of Ghana, LL.B., 1973 and the Ghana School of Law, B.L., 1993.
