Burna Boy, a Nigerian music artiste, has been named the biggest musician in Afrobeats and Africa by the Grammy Recording Academy.
When the nominations for the 66th Grammy Awards were announced, the Academy used this description.
The Grammy Recording Academy announced the nominations for the 2024 Grammy Awards on Friday, November 10th, 2023.
Burna Boy received four nominations on the list.
The Recording Academy wrote an article about the African Giant and stated in the introduction, “There’s not a bigger star in Afrobeats, or even the whole of Africa itself, than Burna Boy.” The article also highlighted other African artists who received nominations for the 2024 Grammy Awards, including Davido as one of the Top 3 biggest Afrobeats artists of recent times, and acknowledged the hard work and talent constantly being put in by the super stars all over the world.
