Former Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan has reacted to the news of his divorce settlement with ex-wife Gifty Gyan.
On Tuesday, October 31, 2023, it was announced that the divorce case between the Ghanaian footballer and his former partner had been settled after three years in court.

Gyan, who had contested the paternity of his three children with Gifty, was ordered to pay his former wife a monthly stipend of GHc 25,000 after the court ruled that all three of Gyan’s children with Gifty were his biological children.
The GHc25,000 monthly stipend did not cover the three children’s school fees, medical and dental care costs, or flight tickets for travel, among other expenses.
Gyan’s house in the UK, as well as another in Ghana, have been given to Gifty. One of Asamoah Gyan’s businesses, a gas station in Prampram, has been handed over to Gifty, along with a BMW car owned by the Black Stars.
Gyan responded to a news report by Ameyaw Debrah on Twitter, writing to his over one million followers on X (formerly Twitter):
